Who We Are

"We are a family of faith
joyfully welcoming our community
to experience the love of Jesus."

We are a Family of Faith

Our Family of Faith is truly excited about being a place where individuals can develop their relationship with Jesus Christ in a greater way through engaging, inspiring, and meaningful encounters with God's amazing Word. In that reality, lives are set free by the Good News of Jesus, and genuine friendships are cultivated while ongoing events of selfless service abound!

Our Journey of Grace

St. Mark Encinitas is a part of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS). In grateful response to God’s grace and empowered by the Holy Spirit through Word and Sacraments, the mission of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod is vigorously to make known the love of Christ by word and deed within our churches, communities, and the world. We would absolutely love for you and your family to join us on this great journey of the Christian faith.

What We Believe

We believe that faith comes from hearing the Word of God and that His Word has been recorded, without error, in the Bible. We believe, teach and confess that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Lord, and that through faith in Him we receive forgiveness of sins, eternal life, and salvation.

The Apostles' Creed

We believe in God the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell; on the third day, He rose again. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
